This might just be the perfect laid-back jazzy night out in St Luke’s

Can’t quite wait for the Jazz Weekend?
There’s one city neighbourhood that keeps the jazzy vibes rolling all year ’round.
Whether it’s tapas and wine you’re after, or pizza and pints, you can have it all in leafy St. Lukes – accompanied by some gorgeous live music from Thursday-Sunday.
Curated by Jorge Kachmari, the live outdoor music outside St. Luke’s Wine Tavern creates a relaxed vibe for unwinding in after a long week – all less than a ten-minute walk from St.Patrick’s Bridge. They’re dog-friendly too so you can bring along a canine companion without any tutting.
On Thursdays, you can catch Jorge and Denzel, with jazz on Friday and Saturdays with The Underscore Orkestra and a unique Indian/Balkan Fusion session with Kali Kowboys/ Rasa Nua on Sundays – gorgeous background beats for a lunch or dinner alfresco.
St. Luke’s Wine Tavern tapas and pizza’s have been described as “savage” in customer reviews.
You can sit indoors in their restaurant or take a table outside and take in the music and hustle and bustle of the area. Send them a message on Facebook to reserve a table.
Henchy’s is the bar located next-door to St. Lukes Tavern and has a long-held reputation of being one of the loveliest bars in Cork.
They don’t offer a food menu but customers are welcome to enjoy food from St. Luke’s Wine Tavern next door or from any of the surrounding foodie spots while you pull up a stool at their wooden barrel tables.
Both establishments are walk-in friendly so don’t wait until the October Bank Holiday to get your jazz fix.
