A brand new mobile sauna has been setting up beside Cork beaches to offer weary workers the chance to sweat out stress before cooling off in the icy Atlantic.

Fluffy towels, soothing oils, fruit and water are provided and the sauna boasts a huge panoramic window so you can watch the waves as you relax inside.

Saunas have been used to boost wellbeing for thousands of years. The dry heat raises the heart rate, improving circulation and promoting a zen feeling of relaxation.

In fact, studies show that getting your sweat on regularly could half the risk of high blood pressure (a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke) in men.

The Warming Wagon is also available for private events, but its owners have been touring beaches in East Cork and Kinsale, with weekends and surprise mid-week pop-ups causing a stir along the coast.

The next date is Wednesday, June 13th at Inch Beach east Cork. The Warming Wagon will be open from 6pm (high tide) to 9pm. Entry is €15.
