The ever-popular Barrack Street coffee shop Alchemy has opened a second location; and it’s within a stone’s throw of Cork’s favourite inner city pond.

Alchemy by the Lough opened its doors over the bank holiday weekend, serving up West Cork Coffee to thrilled locals and visitors alike.

Set inside its very own private garden, complete with wooden deck and plenty of outdoor seating, this is the ideal place for soaking up the summer sunshine.

It’s even dog friendly, with bowls of cold water served to thirsty pooches.

They open at 7.30am (perfect for a post-dog walk pick-me-up in the morning) and serve right up until 7pm, so you can drop by for an evening cuppa too.

If you needed another excuse to get that extra lap of the Lough in, this should do it.
