This lovely little video will remind you of why Cork is MAGIC at Christmas

Brought to you by Cork City Council.
There’s no place like home at this time of year.
And a sweet little video created by Cork City Council is reminding us all how lucky we are to be celebrating Christmas on Leeside.
As part of their ‘Thank Cork it’s Christmas’ promotional campaign, showcasing the best the city has to offer, the creators visited some of Cork’s most beloved traditional businesses and captures birds-eye views of nostalgic sights around town.
From The Alternative Bread Company to The Roughty Foodie and The Real Olive Company in the English Market (Christmas central for any Christmas dinner cook) to Jacques Restaurant on Oliver Plunkett Street and The Imperial WHOtel on the South Mall (transformed into a full-on Grinch experience the festive season) the video shines a spotlight on many of the businesses that are a cherished part of the Christmas experience in Cork.
In case you’d forgotten, there’s a timely reminder to pick up a spiced beef (like this one from Frank Nolan Butchers) and a hot tip on where to find some of the freshest Brussels sprouts this year; Cork Rooftop Farm is overflowing with chemical-free local veggies on Cornmarket Street.
There are some brilliant places here in Cork City to help make your Christmas more sustainable, such as Eva May Vintage in Glanmire Village.
You’ll also experience twinkly shots of GLOW: A Cork Christmas Celebration, and find Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Deirdre Forde kicking off Cork City’s Christmas celebrations by switching on almost seven kilometres of energy-efficient LED Christmas lights!
