This lovely Literary Advent Calendar offers a short reading daily

It’s a genius way to discover new reads.
The West Cork Literary Festival’s Advent Calendar is back for the third year, with a short online reading from Irish books released in 2022 to unveil every day from December 1st to 24th, 2022.
The readings are available free of charge on their Youtube channel and all videos will be captioned.
The idea first came about in 2020 as a way to highlight Irish and Irish-based writers who released new books that year without the usual format of launches and events.
They repeated it in December 2021 and even though in-person events are now back, the calendar continues to be a fan favourite in the run-up to Christmas.
The 2022 Literary Advent Calendar gives viewers the chance to enjoy poetry, novels, short stories, non-fiction, children’s/young adult writing from a mix of debut and established authors including Andrea Mara, Manchán Magan, Bernie McGill, Damien Owens, Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh, David Toms, Pádraig Regan, and Sue Divin, to name but a few.
“There are so many incredible Irish books published each year and this is an attempt to celebrate some of this year’s authors that we were unable to include in our festival in July 2022.” said Festival director Eimear O’Herlihy.
