This lovely bus will be handing out FREE books to Cork kids on Saturday

This is a sweet gesture.
McDonald’s Ireland has announced that the McDonald’s Happy Readers Book Bus will be giving away free books to local children aged between four and eleven in Cork this Saturday, October 8th.
The bus will be visiting the Marina Market in Ballintemple and will be open for visitors from 8am to 5pm.
Local families will be able to receive one free book per child, including favourites such as Little People Big Dreams, Hair Love and The BFG.
During its visit, the McDonald’s ‘Happy Readers’ crew will be hosting read-along sessions and giving away bookmarks, stickers and other exciting educational items too.
It’s all part of McDonald’s pledge to gift over 80,000 books to children across Ireland to help encourage the joy of reading of as part of its ongoing commitment to children’s literacy.
“Our mission is to ensure all children, no matter their background, can access the joy of reading and support in enabling as many children as possible to have a book in the home to spark that lifelong love of reading,” said Michelle Graham-Clare, chief marketing officer at McDonald’s UK and Ireland.
To date, McDonald’s has given away six million free books and has also added the option of children’s books with all its Happy Meals nationwide.
