This local artist’s sweet prints of The Lough will take you back to your childhood

It’s a part of Cork that still looks just as it did when you were a kid.
Now you can nab yourself a little slice of nostalgia to hang on your wall at home; local artist Laura Fitz just launched a new print featuring familiar scenes from the waterside spot.
Laura creates lovingly hand-drawn scenes and street signs from around the Rebel City, which you can purchase via her website and at her stall at the Marina Market in Ballintemple.
“The scenic lake and wildlife reserve in the suburbs of Cork City is a hugely popular place to have a walk, fish, meet up with friends and spot the variety of birds including swans, ducks, geese, coots etc.” the artist explained to her fans on social media.
“I’m so lucky to live just a 10-minute walk from the Lough and I have the best memories of going to visit here right from when I was a small child up until today. I know so many other people have the same happy memories too.”

The Lough print comes in A4 and A5 sizes and features the famous swan, a coot, a duck, a handsome lamp post, a sycamore tree and a park bench.
