This local artist has been turning celebs into cartoon Leesiders

Cork has seen its fair share of celebrities.
From Kim and Kanye on honeymoon to Olivia Rodrigo, Elton John, and Ed Sheeran rocking the Marquee to Sofia Vergara hitting up Lennoxes, big-name stars have been a semi-regular phenomenon here on Leeside.
Local artist Jason O’Gorman aka JOG has combined Cork and fame by transforming ordinary spots into fun, quirky illustrations featuring iconic movie stars, singers, cult classics, and even some of our own local heroes.
Illustrations and prints, handmade and signed by O’Gorman, include a gruesome scene outside the Kilkenny Shop in Emmet Place featuring the unfortunate and admittedly death-prone Kenny from South Park; pet detective Ace Ventura in Carey’s Lane; the outrageous Phoebe Waller-Bridge in a Cork adaptation of hit show Fleabag, and Michelin star chef and Cork legend Mr Miyazaki cooking up a storm on Barrack Street.
A deleted scene from cult classic Silence of the Lambs -where Hannibal Lector is said to have visited the English Market looking for fresh liver; and the most recent illustration- a Beamish and Murphy’s- drinking Bcörk make up a fun series of uniquely ‘Cork’ pieces.
