Animal lovers come from far and wide to accompany the curious creatures on their daily stroll in the great outdoors and visitors rave about taking the alpacas through the forest.
“Our alpaca walks, the first in Ireland, have proven to be very popular and are guaranteed to make people smile!” says Emma.
“Curious and intelligent animals, the alpacas absolutely love their walks too! The walk itself takes about 40 minutes, we walk along a trail that runs past fields and young forestry with gorgeous views and along the river under a canopy of old oaks and past the stunning waterfall.”
They even have a log cabin where guests can hang out with alpacas to their heart’s content for €85 a night.
Nestled among the rolling hills and mountains where the alpaca roam freely, joined by miniature donkeys, giant rabbits, Shetland ponies, sheep and hens, the cabin sleeps four in one bedroom.
It’s really a cosier version of camping with a small kitchen and living area so do note that the loo is 30m from the cottage, but the kids will love it.
