This free family festival is hosting a toy swap, a kids’ disco and yoga for littles
Spread the word at the school gate.
An all-day kids’ party is taking over The People’s Park in Carrigaline this Sunday, September 15th as part of the Carrigaline Family Festival.
Organised as a fundraiser for Carrigaline Playground, which is in need of a makeover, the event will see face painters, a fire truck, a bouncy castle and a treasure hunt set up at the park for all kids to enjoy, free of charge.
The Toy Library will be holding a free Toy Swap on the day (you can bring along any unwanted toys and trade them for something new) while entertainment will be provided by DJ Roy Scully and the Carrigaline Pipe Band.

Visitors can check out the Orchard Sensory Area featuring Nana’s Playroom or take part in Wild Wave Yoga or KJ Fitness Sport Games and much more. The day will finish with a ball run so make sure you buy a ticket for that as you enjoy the fun with the kiddos.
The Carrigaline Playground fundraising group is hoping to create a brand new playground in the town, with an emphasis on inclusive play for all children.
“Our current playground has served us well for 20-plus years but has become very shabby in recent times.” said a spokesperson.
“We estimate the total cost of this project will be €300k for which we have already secured €50k and are working hard to secure more funding through grants. Any help is greatly appreciated.”
