A very famous Kinsale restaurant just had a STUNNING make-over

We’re already planning a trip.
Man Friday is celebrating forty years in business this year by unveiling a brand new look; and it is swanky indeed.
The famous Kinsale eatery, which first opened in 1978, now boasts a heated al fresco dining area overlooking Kinsale Harbour and a completely revamped interior with a new bar and a tasty new drinks menu.
Just feast your eyes on this interior…
And there’s more good news for foodies; the restaurant, which only opened for evening service in the past, is now open for lunch with the launch of Man Friday by Day.
The new look Man Friday is the the work of new proprietor Daniel Horgan, the son of the restaurant’s original owner Philip Horgan.
A Ballymaloe trained chef, Daniel has worked in multiple restaurants in London, one of which received a Michelin star during his time there.
He plans to bring a taste of modern gastronomy to the gourmet capital of Ireland… but not without a nod or two to the food that made his family’s business famous.
“We don’t plan on moving away from any of our signature dishes, such as our renowned seafood chowder, but there’s definitely demand for additional lighter, day-time options.” Daniel commented.
