This epic zipline runs through a lush forest (and it reopens this weekend)

In the mood for some adventure?
If you’re on the hunt for some outdoorsy activities to get you out of the house now that the days are getting longer, you’ll find just the thing hidden in the leafy surrounds of Farran Woods.
Zipit offers a unique high ropes experience that demands you put down your smartphone, escape the office, get back to nature and let yourself go.
Suitable for adventurers aged seven and over, you’re never too old to give it a whirl with the kids – grown-ups are welcome. It’s also a brilliant activity for mates dates, first dates, and work groups.
The best bit? You’ll torch a ton of calories without even noticing so it’s much more fun than the gym.
There are five different circuits to choose from and they range from one metre high to 20 metres – ideal for thrill seekers. Guests tackle ladders, rope bridges, swinging logs and ziplines as they work their way around the trail.
Here’s a little idea of what you can expect:

Located in Farran Forest Park on the southern shore of Inniscarra lake, Zipit enjoys panoramic views of the lake and surrounding countryside.
The 45-hectare forest once formed part of the vast Farran Estate was owned by a Captain Clarke, of tobacco products fame, but these days, the main residents can be found in the wildlife enclosure (red and fallow deer) and a large duck pond.
Tickets start at €18 for kids and the weekends book out fast so plan ahead to secure your date here.
