This East Cork hotel bar has been given a swanky makeover

We’d happily park our behinds on one of those bar stools.
The Park 89 Bar & Bistro is now open at the Midleton Park Hotel, following a fierce fancy overhaul.
The brand new bar and restaurant now features comfy booth seating for family dinners, a handsome bar for date night drinks and plenty of cosy seating areas where you can enjoy brunch or lunch.
Park 89 is open from 9am daily, serving brunch until noon followed by an all-day food menu and an extensive list of drinks.
There’s a new cocktail and mocktail list too and the Coffee Dock is open daily from 10am – 4pm if you’re swinging by for a caffeine fix.
If you’re in the market for a staycation there’s loads to do locally; you can hit Garryvoe or Ballycotton for a dip in the sea and visit sculptor Alex Pentek’s beautiful Kindred Spirits piece, commissioned in remembrance of the generosity of the Choctaw people, who sent food aid to Ireland during the Famine.
Thousands of tourists visit The Jameson Experience Irish whiskey museum and visitor centre located in the Old Midleton Distillery each year so why not see what all the fuss is about?
The Midleton Park offers a Jameson Experience package from €190, including one night’s bed and breakfast, dinner for two, and a fully guided tour of the original distillery with a comparative whiskey tasting and a complimentary Jameson signature drink.
“Pop in, check out our new look and let us wow you.” the hotel management posted on social media.
