This cosy Douglas Street pub is hosting a micro festival (complete with a silent disco)

It’s a funny old time of year.
September can be a month when nothing really happens as we desperately seek out the last of the summer sunshine and refuse to believe it’s already the second month of autumn.
So if you fancy a few days of escapism and non-stop festival vibes in one of Cork’s most iconic venues-without ever having to worry about accommodation- then Coughlan’s micro music festival is right up your street.
Fresh off the success of the Quarter Block Party in July, the Douglas Street bar is set to welcome Leeside revellers into their fireside abode for a few pints and some heavenly tunes from big Irish names like Lisa Hannigan, Paul Noonan, John Blek, and the Rats, as well as Duke Special, Gemma Hayes and Siomha and many more.
There are a load of free gigs in the line-up, including indie-folk band Ian Whitty and The Exchange, Mik Pyro (formerly frontman for Republic of Loose) and Band, The Bonk, and The Service.
Capping off the festival, Coughlan’s are throwing another of their very popular and aurally respectful Silent Discos playing “all the hits” into the wee hours- for a surprisingly wholesome time.

Performances take place from Friday, September 15th to Sunday, September 17th. Tickets for the various gigs range from €10-€25 and are available through the Coughlan’s Live website.
