This Cork restaurant’s Elf Burger involves maple syrup and a sprinkle of M&M’s

Listen, it won’t be to everyone’s taste.
But if you’ve ever looked at your dinner and thought, “This could really use a splash of maple syrup and… perhaps a handful of M&M’s?”, then good news — a Cork restaurant has heard your unspoken festive cravings and run with it.
The new Elf Burger has landed at Son of a Bun on MacCurtain Street in Cork City, and yes, it’s exactly as unhinged as it sounds.
Perfect for anyone who’s ever watched Elf and felt that honestly, Buddy had some great ideas, The Elf is a stack of chicken tenders and streaky bacon slathered in chilli maple syrup, applewood smoked cheddar and a scattering of chocolate M&M’s, topped with a Christmassy filled potato pie, stuffing and gravy and served atop a brioche bun.

“Taste it and feel young again, this burger will make you smile as well as love every bite… trust us and trust the process!” the Son of a Bun crew shared on Instagram.
You can swing by and try The Elf throughout the festive season – no booking required.
