This Cork pub is laying on some end-of-year fun for Cork’s hard-working teachers

We can all agree that teachers deserve their summer.
After a year of lesson plans, endless corrections, and trying to keep a room full of students vaguely on track, one Cork pub has decided it’s time they got a proper send-off.
Over on Sullivan’s Quay, Cork City, Sober Lane is going all out this year, launching a party package designed specifically for end-of-term staff nights — and honestly, it sounds like exactly the kind of hoolie they deserve.
Sharing details of the new offering, the team gave a nod to the real heroes — the ones spending their days attempting to educate the next generation so the rest of us don’t have to:
“Dear Teachers,
For years at Sober Lane, we’ve always made a point of looking after our frontline heroes, the nurses, the firefighters, the emergency crews.
But let’s be honest… you negotiate with terrorists every day.
We wouldn’t swap jobs with you for all the money in the world. And for that, we salute you. This is our way of saying thank you for your service.”

With the end of term in sight, Sober Lane is marking the occasion with something a little special for teachers on the final days of school:
- Secondary Schools:
Friday 29th May & Friday 5th June - Primary Schools:
Wednesday 24th – Friday 26th June
“On these days, we’ll be opening early and putting on a bit of entertainment and for those organising a staff get-together, we’ve got exclusive teacher packages we’re keeping under the radar.” they added.
If you’re planning a party with your gang email party@soberlane.com and include your school, numbers, and preferred time.
“Whether you want to come straight from school or head home, throw on the glad rags, and join us later, we’ll make sure you’re looked after. You’ve earned it.” added the Sober Lane crew.
