This Cork hotel is putting face masks and hand sanitiser packs in every guest room

The new normal will take some getting used to.
But with hotels across Ireland scheduled to reopen as part of Phase Four on July 20th, one Cork business is planning ahead to ensure guests can relax during their stay this summer.
The Flynn Hotel Collection, which includes The Imperial Hotel in Cork City, The Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny, The Old Ground Hotel in Ennis and The Park Hotel in Waterford has created a specifically designed programme to enhance the already stringent procedures in place in their response to Covid-19.
Guests at O’Flynn Hotels will find a ‘Because We Care’ welcome pack in their bedroom, containing face masks, hand sanitiser and sanitising wipes to use during their break.
Each hotel will have a hand sanitising station at the entrance and you can check-in online and go directly to your room, which will have been thoroughly cleaned using electrostatic spraying technology to disinfect surfaces.
Signage will be on display throughout the hotel’s main areas, reminding visitors to adhere to social distancing.
Tables will be arranged so diners can enjoy their meal safely at a two-metre distance from other people, but if you’d rather eat your meals in your room, the full restaurant and bar menus will be available on In-Room Dining.
With foreign holidays looking uncertain, Irish hotels are already reporting an increase in booking enquiries as the Government’s roadmap to recovery unfurls. After July 20th, residents in Ireland will be permitted to travel outside of the 20km travel restrictions, which the hotel industry is hoping will lead to a boom in staycations.
