This Cork drive-thru café is serving FREE COFFEE for two excellent causes

We’re all in need of a caffeine injection today.
And one popular Cork coffee shop is offering customers the chance to kick off 2025 by helping out two worthy charities when they pick up their brew.
From 12pm on New Year’s Day, January 1st, 2025, the BOX’D Annual Charity Coffee Morning will see the café serve all the drinks on their menu for free, taking donations instead of payment.
“We will be opening BOX’D! Carrigrohane on Jan 1st from 12pm – 4pm to raise funds for @bumbleance and GoFundMe ‘A Better Life for Rí’.” the BOXD crew announced.
Rí Gannon was born with a rare genetic condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. Without treatment children with SMA1 rarely survive beyond their second birthday. Rí, who is from North Cork, has relocated with his two brothers and their parents to Dublin to be closer to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

The Gannon family.
The family need to raise €150,000 to transform their new home into a space that fully supports Rí’s needs and allows him to be an active part of our family’s daily life. You can help them real their goal here.
“We want to start the year on a positive note as always and give back a little so we will be giving out all BOX’D!

“Coffees including iced and other hot drinks FREE of charge and all we ask is you donate whatever you can in return. 100% of proceeds will be donated and split 50/50 between both Bumbleance and the GoFundMe ‘A Better Life for Rí’.”
“All donations would be massively appreciated.”
