This Cork countryside coffee truck boasts some of the most picturesque views imaginable

West Cork is full of hidden gems.
Just when you think you know the place, a turn off the main road can reveal any number of little wonders, waiting to be explored.
Down in Ahakista, some 20km from Bantry town on the south side of the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, a brand new coffee trailer has parked up outside the award-winning restaurant Ardundel’s by the Pier, overlooking the picturesque bay.
Wake n’ Cake, a colourful surfer-inspired truck, promises Stone Valley coffee and home-baked cakes. And their menu goes beyond what you’d normally find at a coffee trailer- the menu features turmeric lattes, Swimmers Zingers, Ruby’s Oat and Cinnamon as well as sweet treats- a deliciously zesty lemon cake, oozing chocolate olive oil cake, and banana bread.

You can enjoy your cake and coffee on the bright picnic benches adjacent to the truck or cross the road to sit on the grass and take in the gorgeous gorgeous views of the pier and Owen’s Island.
It’s absolute heaven (and there’s nothing stopping you from grabbing a cheeky pint from Arundel’s if the day turns into the evening while you bask).
Wake n’ Cake is now open from Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
