This Cork café’s Snowball Hot Chocolate will make you wish it was winter

We’d drink one in the height of summer TBH.
But even if you tend to reserve hot chocolate splurges for the colder months of the year, there’s a special one that’s worth breaking tradition for up at The Workshop.
Located in its own patch of countryside at Lios Cross in Ballygarvan, the cosy café and terrace has invented a Snowball Hot Chocolate.

A decadent mug of steaming hot chocolate topped with a large dollop of fresh cream, the creation is finished with a classic Tunnock’s Snowball, a coconut-covered marshmallow you’ll probably remember from your childhood corner shop.
The over-the-top treat is right at home on the café’s eye-popping menu of sumptuous brekkie and brunch options, alongside their popular Freak Shakes, and French toast served with bacon and lashings of maple syrup.

They also have Badger and Dodo coffee and Barry’s Tea aplenty if you fancy something a little lighter.
The Workshop is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
