Meeting a mate for a catch-up on Friday?
A change of venue for that coffee and cake date could help the students of a city special school to raise the funds they need to buy a brand new school bus.
St. Paul’s on Beech Hill in Montenotte is a school for students with moderate, severe and profound general learning disabilities, aged between four and 18 years.
With 97 students, they urgently need a new school bus so each class can attend vital school outings and fun educational trips to enable them to practice real-life skills in the locality.
This Friday, March 6th, 2020, Margaret O’Connor and her tea ladies will host a very special Tea Party at the school from 10am until 12pm.
Pop in (there’s directions and a map here) and enjoy beautiful homemade cakes, sandwiches and treats with lashings of tea and coffee and a raffle with some covetable spot prizes – guaranteed to get your weekend off to a lovely start.
There’s even a special prize for best-dressed lady so don’t be afraid to don your weekend finest (or a fascinator you wore to the races in 1998) and join in the fun for a very worthy cause on Friday morning.
You can also donate to the GoFundMe campaign here.
