This boutique Cork bakery is already taking orders for Christmas
The early bird gets the cinnamon bun.
While the leaves on the trees might only just have started to turn gold, one Cork bakery has already started taking orders for the festive season.
Diva in Ballinspittle has been churning out wildly delicious creations for two decades and Christmas is one of their busiest times of year.
The only way to keep up with demand and beat the rising cost of ingredients is to get organised early, so owner Shannen Keane has opened up her Santa list in September so true Diva fans can stop worrying they’ll miss out on their favourite mince pies.
The bakery’s online shop has been updated with a feast of mouthwatering festive food, from croissants for scoffing with ham and cheese after your Christmas Eve pub trip to boxes of four pain au chocolate for enjoying with seasonal visitors (or solo breakfasts in front of the TV).
Collections are for the month of December only, although mince pies will be available from November 15th, 2022.
The website is heaving with treats, we’re talkin’ Büche de Nöel for your Christmas table, cookie boxes for gifting to your Christmas dinner hosts, to Christmas cakes and puddings made with plump booze-soaked fruits, whole nuts, breadcrumbs, spices, Irish butter and a little grated locally grown carrots (prices start at €15 for a 1lb pudding).

FYI you can also stock up on your favourite pastries from the hatch and keep them in the freezer – they can be reheated in a low oven.
