These Opera Lane stores have introduced Sensory Shopping on Sundays

Here’s an excellent idea.
Opera Lane stores have joined a city-wide initiative to introduce sensory-friendly shopping on Sunday mornings.
Now you can nab all the best fashion finds in Topshop, H&M, SpecSavers and Skechers on Opera Lane without the distraction of bright lights and loud music.
During this time there will be no music playing and the lights will be dim, so customers can expect a quiet, relaxed setting to check out what’s on the rails and try on new looks in the fitting rooms.
A citywide initiative
The stores have joined Brown Thomas, Merchants Quay Shopping Centre, Debenhams, Penneys, Vibes & Scribes, Fitzgeralds Menswear and Casey’s Furniture in the initiative, which is part of a wider drive by Cork Business Association to encourage city businesses to make shopping more accessible for people with autism, Alzheimers, epilepsy and other disabilities that can make shopping extremely stressful.
Whether you suffer yourself or you’re shopping with a child or companion who finds excess noise and lighting challenging, it’s another step in the right direction for shopping in Cork city.
