These beautiful tables, stools and staircases are all custom-made in Cork

In the market for a statement piece?
A new Cork furniture company is fast becoming a favourite among interior designers, offering a range of tailor-made furniture made from stylish steel and locally sourced, reclaimed wood.
Carpenter Conor McSweeney and Lauralice Tourne opened their Tábla studio in Carrigaphooca, ten minutes outside Macroom, in August.
All Tábla products are hand made and welded on-site, so whether you’re looking for a dining table, side tables, console tables, desks, outdoor dining tables, stools or bench seating, you can have it made locally, with pick-up available on completion.
Custom staircase design is also available (although bookings are filling up fast) and you can chat to the team about sliding barn doors on steel rails and powder coated stools for your kitchen island.
If rustic farmhouse or industrial chic isn’t the style you’re going for, Conor and Lauralice are happy to suggest options for bespoke concrete, glass, and marble tabletops. You can see more of those on the Tábla Instagram feed.
Handy with a toolkit yourself? Tábla also sells a selection of steel table legs you can attach to your choice of tabletop; it’s an excellent way to repurpose an old piece of wood or turn a woodworking project into a functional piece of furniture. Tábla Design steel furniture legs start at just €13 each for the Hairpin Coffee Table Legs.
If you’d like to see the pieces in person you can make an appointment to drop by the Tábla studio in Carrigaphooca (P12X008), just outside Macroom. Call 087 905 1261 for more details.
