These are the days you can book the ‘quiet carriage’ on Cork to Dublin trains

The quiet carriage is back.
Iarnród Éireann has reintroduced the idea on Cork to Heuston return services starting today, Monday, November 7th, listing ‘carriage G’ as the one to book if you like to travel without listening to the constant beep and ring of other passengers’ mobile phones.
“The quieter carriage is being reintroduced both to improve services for customers with sensory issues, and to provide choice to all customers, following public feedback.” Iarnród Éireann said in a statement.
It will also be a handy option for people who need to work or study as they travel.
If you want to choose a quieter environment when travelling on Heuston to Cork services, our new quieter coach is now available to book: coach G on applicable services.
