There’s an epic new Indian-inspired sandwich debuting at Sonny’s Deli today

Already planning lunch?
Yeah. Us too.
And today we’ll be making a beeline for Albert Road, where iconic Cork breakfast and lunch spot Sonny’s Deli has been working on a brand new addition to their popular menu.
Offering fans a tantalising sneak peek from their test kitchen, the busy neighbourhood café announced that a Mumbai streetfood favourite will be available from Thursday, July 21st.
The Vada Pav is a hefty sandwich involving a “spiced crispy fried potato patty served in a brioche bun with Sonny’s Deli mango chutney, green chutney, lime pickled red onion, fresh mint, and coriander.”

It joins the Reuben (cured salt beef with Swiss Emmental, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, gherkins and fresh dill on a white yeast baguette) and the sausage roll (pork, fresh thyme, Timo cheddar and caramelised onion in an all butter pastry, served with Sonny’s chipotle ketchup) as a darn good reason for a trip to the tastiest corner in Cork.
Sonny’s Deli is open Monday to Friday 8am to 2:30pm and you can order ahead for collection (Tuesday – Saturday) here.
