Get your teddy ready.

With summer 2020 finally beginning in earnest after weeks in lockdown, one Cork charity is hoping a big day of al fresco fun will draw the crowds later this month, while raising vital funds for street and slum children in Kolkata, India.

The Hope Foundation’s Teddy Bear’s Picnic begins at 2.30pm on Sunday, June 28th, 2020 at Crosshaven House, with a ton of fun planned throughout the afternoon.

Entry is €30 per car (attendees are asked to bring their teddies and a picnic) and the line-up includes a puppet show, a disco, a kid’s dancing and colouring competition, a fancy dress parade and a prize for Best Dressed Teddy Bear, so make sure your bear is properly outfitted.

All Covid-19 guidelines will be adhered to and social distancing will be in place, so keep the Government rules in mind if you’re meeting up with friends or family on the day.

All funds raised on the day will support the charity’s work in protecting street and slum children in Kolkata, some of the most underprivileged in India, via 60 on the ground projects offering healthcare, counselling and education.
