There’s a three-day Whiskey Festival coming to this Cork street in the spring
Attention, uisce beatha connoisseurs.
A new Whiskey Festival is coming to Cork in spring 2023, with a host of events planned in some of the city’s cosiest venues.
Cork Whiskey Fest is set to take over the Victorian Quarter’s most iconic pubs during a three-day programme of events taking place in The Shelbourne Bar, Collins’ Barracks, the Metropole, Rizz, Bru Bar, and many more.
The lineup for the weekend includes masterclasses with Blackwater distillery, Dingle Distillery, Jameson, Midleton, Spot, and Poitin Now, a Taste of Cork tasting, a Cork Whiskey Walk, and a live street recording of the Whiskey Chats podcast.
A very special live cask demo will see Master Cooper Ger Buckley of Midleton and his apprentice Derek Cronin demonstrating the art of cask making and discussing the history of coopering.
