There’s a Talking Heads dance party happening in town this weekend

It’s arguably the greatest music movie ever made.
Now Cyprus Avenue is about to show Talking Heads’ 1984 concert video Stop Making Sense – at full volume on the big screen so you can dance along to the entire thing.
It all kicks off on Saturday, December 8th at 11pm, when the DJs start the night playing music influenced by New York City.
When the crowd is warmed up for the arthouse masterpiece, the venue will screen the concert from start (when lead singer David Byrne walks on to a bare stage with a portable cassette tape player and an acoustic guitar) to finish.
In case you’re unfamiliar, with each successive song, Byrne is joined by more members of the band for a set list that includes classics such as Psycho Killer, Burning Down the House, Life During Wartime and Girlfriend is Better.
Afterwards, DJs will continue the party into the early hours.
Be warned; this is not a seated event so bring your dancing shoes. Tickets are €12.50 here.
