There’s a new café on Tobin Street and it’s serving all-day brunch

*new brunch spot klaxon*
Tobin Street has felt a little empty ever since the Gulpd crew shut up shop back in 2017. And frankly, we miss the long coffees and large glasses of vino in the garden along with the buzz the café brought to the place.
Now a new duo is stepping into those big shoes.
Leesiders Colin Ryan of Hansum Marina Market and Ciaran O’Regan of Rita’s Pizza in Ranelagh, Dublin, have taken up the mantel in the Triskel space, and are bringing a new cafe experience to the people of Cork serving coffee, wine, beers, all day brunch and delicious hoagies Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-5pm.
Paperboys will be a place where the good times will be rollin’ and the vibe is carefully tailored to cater to the remote working clientele (so you don’t have to feel guilty about lobbing out the laptop in the middle of lunch).
You might even find it’s a good place to find other humans to interact with if working remotely has you chatting to the cat for a little too long every day.
The cafe features a large circle table to promote co-working/lunching and most of the tables have a plug socket easily accessible so you can tap away without losing power.
On the finer days, visitors can chill out in the Triskel garden and make the most of the summer in this lovely sun trap with a glass of cold beer in hand and a belly full of brunch.
Word on the street is that there are plans to break into evening territory once the kitchen finds its feet.
Paperboys is open today Friday, June 23rd, and is located on Tobin Street, Cork City Centre.
