There’s a free Family Fun Day at this Cork castle on bank holiday Monday
It’s the perfect way to round out the weekend.
With the weather (hopefully) on the mend, the bank holiday’s bringing a welcome break, but if you’re aware your little rugrats will be bouncing off the walls again by Monday, help is at hand.
Fear not, weary parents, for Cork County Council has dreamt up the perfect solution: a free Family Fun Day at Mallow Castle this coming Monday, May 6th.
You can ditch the dishwasher duty and the never-ending game of hide-and-seek for a day of merriment in the glorious surrounds of a historic castle. No jousting (health and safety, and all that), but there’ll be enough activities to keep even the most energetic ankle-biter entertained.

We’re talking face painting, balloon animals by the bucketload, and a swashbuckling magic show courtesy of Pirate Pete (yarrr!). The Animal Roadshow might even be bringing along some furry (or perhaps feathery) friends.
The fun runs from 1pm until 4pm and entry is free so pack a picnic and make a day of it.
