There’s a cute new coffee spot to hit on your walk in Blackrock today

We can never have enough coffee options.
And now there’s another top-notch spot to stop for a takeaway brew while you’re walking in Blackrock; Maher’s Coffee has opened its first-ever coffee shop on wheels.
Maher’s Coffee has been synonymous with coffee in Cork for generations. Their brand new coffee hatch, a former horsebox, is now parked up at the Cork Boat Club in Blackrock village, serving from 9:30am on Saturdays and Sundays.

Beautifully painted by Cork-based artist Laurynas Damijonaitis of Dami Designs, the Maher’s Coffee outpost will be serving up a selection of caffeinated treats to walkers and cyclists within 5km of the Marina.
You can expect a carefully curated selection of beverages too; based on Oliver Plunkett Street, the company claims to offer the most extensive range of coffee beans in Ireland, stocking a wide range of gourmet and single estate coffees and organic and Fairtrade beans “from the smallest holding in Jamaica to the plains of Brazil”.
Make ours a double.
