The weekend weather forecast is only gorgeous (but it’ll be chilly again next week)

We’ll take it.
This week’s glorious spring sunshine is set to continue into the weekend, with temperatures of up to 17C right up until Monday.
“Although there’s a bit of uncertainty later this weekend, there’s no real sign of this high pressure breaking down until early next week at least. So, this really lovely spell of spring weather won’t be going anywhere too quickly,” said Met Éireann meteorologist, Aoife Kealy.
According to Met Éireann, this morning’s mist and fog will gradually clear and it will become sunnier as the day goes on. It will be largely dry with just an isolated shower and highest temperatures of between 14 to 17 degrees.
“Mist and fog will clear from most areas on Saturday morning but may linger along some coasts.” said a forecaster.
“It will be a dry day with sunny spells and a light easterly breeze. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, coolest near southern and eastern coasts.”
Temperatures will drop as low as zero to 5C on Saturday night, recovering by morning in time for a dry, sunny Mother’s Day with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees.
Sunny spells and well-scattered showers are the order of the day on Monday, with slightly cooler temperatures of 15C, but current indications suggest it will turn colder towards mid-week with the increased possibility of showers and chance of some frost by night.
