This is a lovely gesture.
In honour of Cork Pride this week, the staff at one popular city eatery are donating all their tips to charity.
The servers at 14A on French Church Street will be handing over all cash collected on the day to Pieta House, a suicide and self-harm crisis centre with locations all over Ireland.

Announcing the fundraiser on Instagram, the 14A crew said: “We at 14A want to show our appreciation to the wonderful LGBT+ community, so this Friday (August 2nd) we are going to donate all tips to @pieta.house to help in the truly breath-taking work that they do for the people of Cork.
“Our staff are also donning their finest dresses and brightest colours to show that we are proud to be part of Pride. Come by to see us in all our finery, and support Pieta House.”
We can’t think of a better excuse for a pre-bank holiday lunch in town.
