The owner of Cork’s newest toastie food truck will serve coffee in hand-painted cups

Toast opens in Ballinlough in April.

And locals who live near the new food truck’s location at the Ballinlough Olde Faery Trail will enjoy one of the most bespoke caffeinated treats in town.

With a tricked out retro van almost ready for the road, well-known Cork artist Sebastian Thommen has had some of his favourite hand-painted watercolours of Cork scenes printed onto his takeaway coffee cups.

The paintings feature iconic Cork scenes from George’s Quay and St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, in Thommen’s unique style, with lots of characterful architecture and River Lee reflections.

The custom cups are just another thing to love about Toast, which will also serve artisan melty sandwiches, hearty snacks and gourmet goodies to-go. Expect Stone Valley Roasters coffee, Arbutus Bread, organic veggie soups and butter-smothered toasties.
