The Imperial’s new ‘Show Thyme’ dinner is a superb excuse for Thursday cocktails

By Yay Cork March 3, 2022March 3, 2022

Brought to you by The Imperial Hotel.

Ready to start the weekend a little early?

If dinner and a show in the swanky surroundings of one of Cork’s most historic hotels sound tempting, then clear your schedule for Thursday evening.

The grand dame of Cork hospitality, the Imperial Hotel is making midweek marvellous in their stylish brasserie Thyme at Seventy Six on The Mall.

Show Thyme will run every Thursday at the buzzy restaurant, where you can book a table and settle in for a delicious meal and entertainment from 6.30pm.

A new surprise act will perform each week and you can arrange to be seated front and centre to enjoy the show or ask for a quieter table near the back if you’d rather observe from the wings.

The best bit? The entire evening will only set you back €45, including three mouthwatering courses and a glass of Prosecco.

If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of dining at Thyme you’re in for a treat.

From a heavenly cocktail list (ours is the Lemon Meringue cocktail; Ketel One Vodka, Lemon Juice, Pineapple Juice, Limoncello, Italian Meringue) to some of the sauciest desserts in town (hello Kinder Bueno Éclairs and Pornstar Martini Cake) the menu will have you planning a return visit.

You might even make it a weekly Thursday treat.

For ‘Show Thyme’ reservations at Thyme at Seventy Six on The Mall, call 021 4274040 or visit Imperialhotelcork.com.
