This is exactly what we need today.
As we schlep through the start of the week to get to the good bit (two bank holidays) at the end, we’re open to anything that will take our minds off work for a while.
Step forward Union Grind; the Union Quay café has kindly come to our rescue by bringing back their wildly popular Easter Egg Hot Chocolate… and this time it’s got an even sweeter twist.
This year’s decadent drink is vanilla ice-cream flavoured – just the level of sugar rush we need to whoosh us through midweek.

Making it involves pouring steaming hot chocolate into a chocolate Easter egg, then adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which quickly melts into the hot, gooey liquid below.
The whole lot is crowned with a large dollop of whipped cream, because why not.
Union Grind is open 7.30am to 4pm and no, it’s never too early for a hot choccy.
