Here’s an excellent reason to stroll down the Marina on Saturday.

As well as kicking through the first of the autumn leaves, one of Cork’s prettiest waterside plazas will be buzzing on September 7th, 2019 for the Blackrock Village Festival.

The family-friendly event promises face painting and a kids fancy dress competitions, while grown-ups can enjoy a caffeine fix and grab lunch to eat al fresco from the food stalls of the Village Market.

Hank Wedel and Jim X Comet will be providing the tunes so it’ll be the perfect spot to hang out between 2pm and 6pm.

Dowtcha Puppets, Aaron the Balloon Man, the Ursulines Choir with the Marina Melodics and Niamh Hatchell Irish Dancers will there to entertain the children too.
