Temperatures could hit 25C in Cork today (but it’s kind of a one-day deal)

We haven’t had much need for the office fan this year.
But all that could be about to change today; Met Éireann is predicting that temperatures may hit 25C in Cork on Wednesday, so if you’re tempted to call in sick and hit the beach, start devising an excuse now.
The forecasters say that today will be warm and dry with good spells of sunshine and highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees with light and variable winds.
It will be mild and humid overnight too with patchy rain or drizzle as temperatures remain above 12 to 14 degrees.
Thursday isn’t looking too shabby either; “Mostly cloudy with patchy light rain or drizzle at first but it will become drier and brighter later in the day. Highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees with light to moderate southwesterly winds.” said the forecasters.
It will be cloudy and wet during Friday morning and afternoon, but dry conditions should return during the evening with highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees to kick off the bank holiday weekend.
Word has it that conditions will be a little fresher by Saturday with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers and highs of around 18C.
