Tanning guru Marissa Carter will be sharing her business secrets in Cork

Need a nudge in the right direction to follow your business dreams?
Cocoa Brown founder Marissa Carter and communications maven Terry Prone will be leading a panel of entrepreneurial gurus at an event to mark International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 8th.
Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office, Cork North and West will host Push for Progress at The Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery – and the line-up is guaranteed to inspire.
Aimed at female entrepreneurs, business owners and those with a business idea, the event will focus on how women can excel in business while achieving a balance and learn new techniques to deal with stressful times.
The event, which will be MC’d by 96FM’s Deidre O’Shaughnessy, will include a wide variety of speakers including business woman, ex Fair City actress and mentor Rachel Sarah Murphy, branding expert and entrepreneur Jennie McGinn, and yoga therapist Jess Hatchett.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and make new connections throughout the day.
“Working women today often find it difficult to find the right balance between work and home life and also find time for themselves.” said Christine Heffernan, Business Adviser, Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West.
‘Each woman will tell their own unique story of how they have found both success and joy from what they do and how every woman in business can discover this for themselves.’
The event is open to all women in business, from start-ups to established businesses and to new entrepreneurs or those with a business idea who want to give themselves the time and space away from the desk to learn new techniques, learn from hugely inspiring female founders and connect with like-minded business women.
push for Progress begins at 9.30am and concludes at 3.30pm. A limited number of tickets are available at €30 with lunch included.
