Take the Polar Plunge (and defrost with a free sauna and hot chocolate afterwards)

The Christmas Polar Plunge at Ballyhass Mallow is taking place this Sunday, December 22nd, inviting brave souls the chance to dive into icy waters for charity (and warm up with mulled wine afterwards).
The Polar Plunge is not just about braving the chill – it’s all about spreading festive cheer and supporting an incredible cause. All proceeds from this frosty event go to Mallow Search and Rescue.
Plunge times are available from 4pm to 6pm on the day and your €14 ticket includes a free 15-minute sauna session post-plunge to thaw out and relax, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and mince pies.

There’ll be festive music and Christmassy vibes aplenty on the day and participants are invited to dress up in their most creative Christmas outfit for a chance to win a free sauna session.
“Take the plunge, enjoy the celebrations, and make unforgettable memories this festive season!” say the organisers. Grab your togs and a towel, bring the gang and make a day of it.
