Fancy a treat after your 5km city stroll?
The takeaway hatch at O’Sho on Barrack Street is open for lunch and snacks to enjoy at home and they’ve got a selection of tasty new dishes to try.
O’Sho are now serving Lab82 pancakes (a sweet speciality from the other side of the city) with your choice of three pure Cork toppings:
- Salted caramel ice cream, Beamish syrup, caramel biscuit crumb
- Buckfast cream, dark chocolate sauce, Cadbury’s flake
- Killahora Pom’o Apple Port stewed apple, raisin and cinnamon, vanilla ice cream
If you’re doing Veganuary there’s a hearty Vegan Corn-ish Pasty stuffed with lentils, carrot, onion, peas, celeriac and potato, while cheese fans can sink their teeth into a Zorba the Greek (spinach, kale, potato and feta) or a Mushroom Chakra (leek, mushroom and cheddar).
Oh and there’s more; the Tartiflette involves roast baby potatoes, garlic and thyme cream sauce, fried onions, fake bacon and melted camembert cheese.

If it’s a healthy take on a naughty favourite you’re after, order a Vegan Spice Bag; roast baby potatoes, fried onions, roasted peppers, scallions and spiced tofu – ideal for munching on al fresco as you head home.
O’Sho opens at the city end of Barrack Street from 1pm to 8pm, Thursday to Sunday – order your food and a boozy hot chocolate to go fro the hatch.
