Swim Club’s summer party is a good excuse to check out Cork’s newest beach bar

If you’re heading for Castlefreke or Owenahicha, one of West Cork’s newest eateries is throwing open its doors for an official launch bash.
Swim Club is hosting a Summer Party this Sunday, June 30th, offering a chance for guests to check out the deli and bar while enjoying live music and various other fun happenings throughout the day.
The deli and pizzeria is the first part of the Little Island Resort to open to the public since Kildare sisters Aislinn and Nicole O’Shea began a full renovation of the 1960s Castlefreke Hotel, near Owenahincha Beach,.
The long-term plan is for a 24-bedroom boutique hotel complete with a 70-seater first-floor restaurant with whopper sea views.

They make mean coffees and cocktails too and the menu also features sharing boxes, ciabatta and foccaccia sandwiches plus ham and mozzarella paninis – ideal for packing into your beach bag if you stop there en route.
There’ll be giveaways aplenty and the party kicks off at 12 noon, continuing until 10pm.
