Sunny days ahead for Cork: Met Éireann promises a mostly dry and bright week on Leeside

The storm with no name has subsided.
And as we set about retrieving the trampoline from the neighbour’s garden and sweeping up a heap of leaves, Met Éireann is predicting a relatively pleasant week ahead for Cork, weather-wise.
According to forecasters, conditions will brighten up today with a mix of sunny spells and some passing showers. Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 16 degrees.
It will be dry tonight with long clear spells and just a little patchy cloud and tomorrow, Tuesday, will be dry too with plenty of autumn sunshine and just a few isolated light showers. Top temperatures will range from 14 to 16 degrees.
The overview for the week is “mostly dry and settled at first, turning more unsettled for the weekend”.
“Another bright and mostly dry day on Wednesday with lots of sunshine and just scattered clouds.” the forecasters said.
“Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in moderate easterly winds. Dry and mostly clear on Wednesday night. Lowest temperatures generally ranging from 6 to 9 degrees with light easterly breezes.
“Thursday is expected to be a generally dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.”
