Summer vibes are back with Cork temps set to hit 25C today

Don’t let this morning’s weather fool you.
After a grey and misty start to Monday, Cork is set to turn up the heat as summer finally finds its stride again.
Cloud, drizzle and patches of fog will clear through the day to make way for hazy sunshine, with temperatures climbing into the low to mid-20s across much of the county. Some spots could even edge up to 25C, making it the perfect excuse to grab an iced coffee, hit the beach or enjoy a bite to eat outdoors.
Tonight stays mostly dry and mild, with just a little mist in places, before another lovely day arrives on Tuesday. While it’ll be cloudy first thing, sunshine will spread across the county as the day goes on, with highs once again reaching the mid-20s. Inland parts of Cork could even flirt with 27C.
And the good news doesn’t stop there.
Mostly cloudy at first today☁️ with some mist, drizzle & fog for a time.
Otherwise dry with good sunny spells, hazy at times, developing over the E & S & extending a bit further to the N & W later🌤️.

The rest of the week is shaping up to be warm, dry and increasingly sunny, with temperatures continuing to rise. By Friday and into the weekend, parts of the country could be pushing close to 30C, while Cork looks set to enjoy plenty of summer weather too.
There is a slight chance of a few showers or thunderstorms later in the week, but for now, it’s safe to say the summer vibes are officially back, with positive news for next weekend too:
“It’s likely to continue very warm or hot and humid with sunshine, but with the ongoing chance of some showers and thunderstorms,” said a Met Éireann forecaster.
