Botanicals have never been trendier.
From plants and palms to leaves and greenery, bringing nature indoors is said to have a calming, soothing influence on our overstimulated brains.
It works too; just try being stressed while you’re gazing through the fronds of a big fern.
Now a new workshop in tropical Glengarriff is offering stressed-out city folk the chance to kick back and enjoy nature while learning how to paint and draw it.
Two Green Shoots is hosting a Summer Botanicals Art Workshop led by artist Ida Mitrani on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 from 10am to 5pm.
During the day, all participants will try their hands at drawing, measuring, shading and watercolour techniques as well as colour theory, colour mixing and preparing colour charts.
It all happens at a secret location in the hills above Glengarriff in West Cork.
Everyone leaves with their very own study of summer foliage or flowers and the €95 ticket price (available now here) includes wild teas and a lunch feast.
