St Luke’s is getting a brand new neighbourhood bookshop, opening in August

Is there anything better than a neighbourhood bookshop?
One that’s near an excellent coffee shop and a decent pub, that’s what. And up in St Luke’s, they’re about to have just the thing.
Mercier Books is opening a shop in the characterful Cork village this summer, with final prep underway and a plan to open the doors in August.

The Cork-based ‘independent publisher of extraordinary books’, which is Ireland’s oldest independent publishing house and was founded in 1944 by Captain Seán and Mary Feehan. will be a welcome addition to the area.
Readings, launches, and various other bookish events are already planned at the shop.
You can pop in from mid-August.
