Some vibey new street art just appeared in two busy Cork shopping areas

We do love bit of street art.
And this morning we were delighted to see a pop of colour on Oliver Plunkett Street, where a local artist has been hard at work transforming the boring old electrical boxes into something fabulous.
Artist Alan Hurley was part of a team of volunteers who joined Cork Business Association last week to give Oliver Plunkett Street a bit of a glow-up.

The event stretched from Vodafone to The Welcome Inn, with a variety of tasks sorted, including cleaning, planting, and painting. Volunteers met at The Old Oak Bar, where light bites will be served before the work began. Later on, the morning’s efforts were rewarded with lunch provided by Market Lane.
Alan has also been hard at work on North Main Street, where a number of electrical boxes were given fun makeover earlier this month.

“The smallest details can make a big difference in brightening our city!” announced the CBA team on social media.
Too true.
