SNEAK PEEK: Inside Cork’s most futuristic new hotel

Cork’s ongoing hotel boom is offering visitors more exciting options for a stay in the city than ever.
The latest accommodation offering to join the party is The Hatch Rooms on Copley Street, which will be officially launched tonight, a stone’s throw from City Hall.
Designed by the team at Kingston Lafferty Design, who worked with John Paul Construction to complete the project this week, the Hatch Rooms is a hotel space connected to the €25m Hatch Student Living development.
It’s as cool as you’d expect too; carefully styled to appeal to ‘the modern traveller’s sweet spot’.
The development boasts an in-house fitness centre, free WiFi, a launderette and a terrace, with secure guest access via a 24-hour front desk. Serious gamers needn’t worry they’ll have to take a break from the controls either; gaming pods are available here too.
As well as comfy beds and luxe linens, guest rooms at the hotel come with a seating area, private bathroom with shower, hair dryer and free toiletries as well as a desk and a kettle.
With Crawford & Co. on the doorstep for brunch and some of the city’s best coffee spots a short stroll from the door, guests won’t go hungry.
For the visiting foodies however, the Hatch Rooms’ ‘Urban Clubhouse’, a shared lounge and kitchen, is the perfect space to cook some goodies from the English Market.
Double rooms start at €99. Check out their Facebook page for updates.
