Here’s a fun take on the takeaway.
Level 3 restrictions have forced The Workshop to shut down their indoor seating area and vintage furniture shop, but the team have come up with a novel way to keep customers visiting the Ballygarvan café this month.
Car Park Picnics are now available from Tuesday to Sunday, so you can pull up, order your favourites from The Workshop menu and tuck in from the safety of your vehicle.
The menu features French toast, bagels with cream cheese, a new bacon butty and house-baked scones, luscious hot chocolates as well as a choice of mouthwatering sandwiches, soup, chowder and a hot dish of the day.
“Like many in the hospitality industry we are having to adapt to the new restrictions and have come up with a fun new idea for The Workshop – Car Park Picnics – in an attempt to remain open,” the café said in a Facebook post.
“We will continue to serve our breakfast and lunch menus including our delicious soups and sandwiches and our full range of desserts, hot chocolates, soft drinks, teas and coffees. These will be available for takeaway or as part of our new Car Park Picnic service.”
